Week 1: Chamomile

You may think you know these sweetly calming, gently soothing plant... but there's more here than meets the eye. Witchy, skin-healing, and tummy-taming, Chamomile is a potent healer... if you use it right. This sweet bloom calms irritability, sleeplessness, restlessness, stress, and tension, whether that’s as a massage oil for muscles and ligaments, as a tea for the tummy, or as a cordial for menstrual cramps. For newborn babies and nursing mothers, it helps ease the tension of both and any minor uterine cramping, colic, teething, pain,
or sleeplessness for both.

counteract the negative effects of a stressful lifestyle, easing irritability, anxiety, nervousness, and fatigue. I often tell my students that “Oatstraw is like a hug for your entire nervous system,” and it has a powerful effect on both heavily traumatized minds and hearts (for instance, folks suffering from PTSD, severe panic attacks, emotional breakdowns,
and recovering from shock), as it can rebalance overwrought nerves and rewires our nervous system in a sweetly effective way.
